Hi! I am Ali, an American teacher helping Korean English learners discuss news, culture, and daily life with confidence. I hold a Bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and Master's degrees in International Education and American Studies.
My coaching focuses on practical situations to maximize your active speaking time. Whether we are analyzing a TV show clip, playing a board game, or preparing for an interview, the priority is always natural, real world communication. Every class is personalized around your goals, interests, communication style, and the situations where you want to use English.
You might work on making small talk, asking natural follow-up questions, explaining your ideas more clearly, or sounding more like yourself in professional and everyday conversations.

Bring your own friend, partner, sibling, or coworker. Every class is personalized around both of your interests, goals, and real-life English needs.
You might work on keeping a conversation going, asking each other better follow-up questions, sharing stories more naturally, or discussing topics you both care about.

- Personalized 60-minute classes built around both students
- Lots of speaking time while I listen, offer natural paraphrasing, and correct the mistakes that matter most
- A shared Notion notebook with useful expressions, corrections, and review materials

Methodology
Discover a new way of learning
Choose a lesson time that fits your schedule! I teach Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm Madrid time (5pm to 1am Seoul), which works well for evenings in Korea, daytime in Europe, and mornings on both US coasts.
Every lesson is built around topics you want to talk about and the situations you'll use them for. Example topics include how to discuss MBTI in English, table manners across cultures, and AI's impact on the job market.
Improve with each lesson with consistent feedback! From Konglish corrections to pronunciation practice, we'll use a shared Notion notebook to track changes and paraphrase your responses during class.
